Three years ago I developed an idea which has changed the way people make wire leaders. After spending several hours one evening preparing for the next days adventure off shore fishing, I noticed my fingers were bloody from wrapping wire.
I was convinced that there had to be a better way of doing this task. I knew I could purchase the rigs already made, but the cost would be overwhelming. I stored the thought and went on with my business. Several days later I revisited the idea and retrieved the can opener and took it to my work shop. I spent the next year meeting with the several wire manufacturers through out our country. The vice president of American Wire traveled to Florida to meet with me and discuss distribution.
