| Ocean Report for the desert
Meat - see you're still checkin' on from time to time. You're missing NOTHING right now: weekends are a steady 5-7' or 6-9' forecast with week days calming down to an easy 4-6'. Haven't been out since the trip with PJ. Leave next week and kids are in town, so hoping for a couple doable days. Good news is when we get out again there's been a big 0 for pressure on the fish. We'll have to hurry out when you get back so you don't miss Snapper, but the big grouper will still be hungry. Good trip to DC? C-YA

| No fish biting in the desert!
Imagine that... Not even any sand-fleas. Four weeks to go, looks like I'll miss the end of Snapper season. Last November was when we had the one good day with a couple of 'Hoos. I'll be game! |

Good luck to you guys. Had to sell my big boat with the wind and hail insurance going up and a baby on the way. Still got my flats boat and we have been tearin up the reds up over here in Biloxi. Well the good news is it doesn't cost me much to bring the little boat home and hit up East bay. Caught my biggest spec ever over there. Good luck guys and welcome home Meat, I'll be heading to the sandbox in the near future. Ya'll take care.

Shot, how's the gulf been doing lately? Any chances of getting out recently? Just two days ago, the high was finally under 100, at a nice cool 99. PG, good luck to you when you get over here...

Meat - gonna give it a run today: 1-2' in and 2-3' off. Can't sleep, too fired up to be out again. Floated the boat last nite and just took a short bay spin to make sure all still works - felt AMAZING just being back on the water!!! Hopefully a full up report later on today. Little bit of red tide, so hoping we'll be able to find bait. PG - good luck with the new addition!! Sounds like a new fishing buddy in a few years. A bud of mine has been tearing up grouper and snapper in the bay; just gotta know where to go. I don't, yet! |

| BUST!!! Red tide won today. Talked with PJ after I got out and couldn't find anything. He said not to bother <10NM and I didn't have enough dead bait and the way the inshore was cut thought better of not running out. Went back to the bay and caught buckets of sub trout and reds. Dead fish everywhere; one dude who'd been deep said there were seeing them out to 6 NM. Always something, but it was a good day on the water!! |
