Can't say it is a REVIEW as I haven't used it yet.
BUT here goes....
Well I have had a few rods with out reels to match them. They are brand new and just sitting on the rack looking lonely.
One was a Shimano Trevala TCH-60H, Length: 6'0", Braided Line WT: 65-200lb, Jig WT: 160-270g, Power: Heavy, Action: Medium Fast. I like these rods and the Butterfly Jigs as I have a number of them.
Problem is I only have two spinning ones in use - one with a Shimano Stella 20000 and one with a Shimano Stella 4000. Still have two more Trevala Rods to be teamed with a Stella 8000 and Stella 6000 someday when I get money again. I have had three of the Casting/Conventional Trevala Rods but none matched with reels until now.
So seems the other day I met up with drangler as he hit Strike Zone and got a few new rods and reels (SWEET STUFF I TELL YA, well actually will let him tell ya). We go out to the parking lot and he lets me look at his Avet HX 5/2 in Black and it looks nice. I give it back to him telling him he should take a few pics of it and do a review here on the site of it. Then he pulls out this Pro Gear Oceanus 30 knowing that I really wanted one but never got it bought before Pro Gear disappeared off the face of the earth. I am sitting there checking this reel out and am amazed at the quality of it especially so near the end of the companies life when he knocks me off my feet and gives it to me. Might have been the drolling and crying, maybe the begging and pleading not sure but I can not THANK HIM ENOUGH.
So enjoy a few pics of my newest rod and reel combo which will be used to do some Butterfly Jig fishing and will also tangle with a Bull Shark inshore very soon.
Thanks a million Gabe.
