We fished Haulover Canal on July 5th and started out before sun up,
Found 24 - 26 inch Trout at the west entrance of the canal between the first island to the north, we used finger mullet and small pinfish worked best.
Redfish were feeding , Above slot size and released.

East of the canal you could find nice 5-10lb Back Drum using crab and shrimp.
we also found Mangro snapper and SheepHeads were biting as well.

Weather was Hot but very calm and rain free.
Wading was a good way to cool down and grab some bait fish, mostly fished from a 18' PennCraft Center Console boat with Suzuki 90 Hp 4 Sroke I purchased last month (Great Boat)for what we did this day.

All and All it was a fantastic day on the water with good eats when we returned home.

Finger Mullet and juvinile Pinfish were plentiful around the islands and in the flats sourounding the west entrace of the canal.
BTW Has anyone seen Blue Crabs in the Lagoon ?

That wraps up this report and hope to see you on the water.
