Decided to go for a boat ride after the fishing was slow... well we did get a late start so that may have accounted for the slow fishing.
We launched from Beach Blvd after picking up some live shrimp and mud minnows from Rick's. My trolling motor wasn't working :crying: :slap: :bash: so we anchored up by the Atlantic Bridge and I started throwing some Big Hamers but the water clarity was not very good so I switched over to live shrimp on a 1/8oz jig head while Rebecca threw a mud minnow on a carolina rig with a 1/8 oz Carolina rig and a #2 Gamakatsu octopus hook. I quickly hooked into a 15" Flounder

and Rebecca follows suit with it's cookie cutter brother.

And then.... Nothing that was the last of fish, had a few crabs stay hooked to the boat, but that was it. So by now it is around 1:00 and it is hot as hades, so why not make our own wind? So we did a little exploratory trip and headed south almost made it to St Augustine! But our stomachs were growling and we made a stop at Lulu's restaraunt and had a great lunch of Shrimp Ravioli and Key Lime Pie along with 5 Unsweet Teas each.. Just a little dehydrated I guess. We then headed on up the ICW back to the launch ramp and back home. As son as we got back we jumped into the pool to cool off... did I mention it was hot? around 90 degrees with 90% humidity. But what a great day of cruising, wish the fishing was a little better, but I really can't complain. :D:D
