Finally!!! A good report for the NE!

We went out out last Tuesday on my frined Tommy's boat...Top's Off. Left at 0'dark thirty and headed to the ledge. We trolled for awhile in 175-200 ft of water and got a couple of bites, (I lost two of them :slap: to hear Tommy tell it), and he got this one in the boat for a sportsman like release into the ice...:clap:

We were about 75 miles out in 700 feet of BEAUTIFUL water and we had a blast! Good fishing, good company, and cold beer :iconbeer: - you can't beat a day like that!!!

How far off shore do you have to go to get into 200' of water up there?

We have had to go about 15 to 20 miles off shore down here.

All goes well and the weather holds I hope to take my boat out about 8 miles to do a little bottom bumping if Bill comes through on some numbers for me.

Maybe on the way in we will try for some Kingfish as well.

Good luck on the bottom bite! I love bottom fishing!

We have to go out about 60-70 miles to get deep.

I haven't been a stanger on purpose, some of the catches lately weren't so impressive. Tis' the season though!

We do that for Swordfishing trips and it is a long haul.

I need to win the lottery so I can move down south and just run offshore to be int he stream with land still in site. SWEET....

Oh well. Looking forward to more reports and pics...
