Good News for PCB anglers - the bait is in and water temps are up. Found Boston Macks, Greenbacks, and Cigs all at the first buoy out of the pass. Best news is they were running scared because of all the predators pushing them around; water was boiling!! Water temps were 78 around the buoy and even saw some 81 degree areas about 12 miles out. After baiting up at the buoy we were off on a slow troll toward the Whistle buoy. Within three minutes the starboard long line rod is dancing and the reel is peeling line. See the jump behind the boat and we're guessing 10#ish King. WRONG!!! When the fish see's the boat and makes its run a big white belly flashes and me and my bud both look at each other and yell "COBIA" at about the same time. Get it back to the boat, stick a gaff in it's neck, and I land my first ever Cobia. Made legal at 34 1/2" and a tasty 16.25#'s -

Kept the troll going for a couple Kings -

And then went out to 12 miles for some Snappers and Triggers -

Bottom bite was consistent with subs until about mid afternoon on whatever you dropped. AJ subs were all over Williamson jigs, but also died mid afternoon.

If you don't have 'em now, get some Blue and/or Purple Dusters w/dead or live baits. We had several Kings send a half eaten minnows back to the boat. How they miss the trailer hooks?!?!?!?! Troll action was decent all around the Whistle and marker buoys.

GET BENT!!

Show off! Looks like you regained your 'manhood' while trolling. Just make sure to save some for whenever I get out of here!

Meat - just wait... more to come (sts)! In honor of your present address, we caught a bunch of SAND perch this past weekend on a Sabiki :nutkick:
