CaptainSid is out visiting Grandkids in Florida. Hey they have snow in Iowa right now so while my brother shovels snow in Iowa my Dad and I took a day and went fishing.
The hope today was to go out and get us some Kingfish. Shot the inlet and found some birds working so headed over in hopes to make bait.
I dropped the Sabiki and Dad (CaptainSid) throws out a Catch2000 lure. Sinker gets a NO JOY and bare hooks while the Captain hooks up and line starts peeling.
Seems we hit a school of Bluefish and Jacks feeding so changed gears and played for a few.

Had fun but never got any bait for the Kingfish. I did have some cured Spanish Sardines so we gave it a go with them about 6 miles off shore but had no luck.
Came back in and picked up some Shrimp and decided we would go see if we could drown them at the inlet.
Again the Captain hooks up with Ladyfish

He also got a Hardhead Catfish and of course pulls in a Flounder as well

So the Captain caught lots of Bluefish, Jacks, and Ladyfish with a Catfish and Flounder thrown in to boot. Took me to school and showed me who is still boss.

Tomorrow Bill the Bucket Boy TWISTER, Gabe/drangler, CaptainSid and myself are going out after some Dorado and Kingfish again.
Bill knows my Dad really wants to get a Dorado so Bill said LETS GO. Gotta love friends like that. So finally Twister and drangler will meet and fish together along with CaptainSid and myself.
