Fish too cold?

Anyone having any luck on the Spanish right now? Was going to try maybe later this week over by the Library/PC Marina but didn't know if it would be a waste with the temps we've been having (got a 66 degree water temp report). Weds/Thur forecast looks doable for the bay. Lately these winds both suck and blow!!! Definitely ready for May.

Hey Shot, It's been my experience that if you can't pull them in right there by the Jetties on the State Park side, there pretty much not biting anywhere. My Dad said some of his buddies caught some between P.C. Marina and Bay Point but that was 2 weeks ago, the same time we caught em at the jetties. Might have to wait till it warms up a little more. Wish I could help ya bro. I'm planning to be back over about mid to late May to see if we can start catching some Kings. Have you seen any nice Cobia caught yet? Anyway Take care and good luck. Sorry, been away for a few days. Heard about a 70 something Cobia getting pulled onto the Dan Russell Pier a couple weeks back. That big cold run we had last week has quieted the chatter. A couple good warm days lately, so hopefully we'll start pickin up real soon. Forecast is Darth Hideous this weeked: 6-8' Sat and 7-9' Sun - guess I'll stop twisting leaders and get out the boogie boards. Reports of Kings caught about 15 miles out before the cold front; getting closer!!!

I would definatly put my rods up and grab my golf clubs!! We had the same over here in Biloxi with the Seas and cold snap. I was planning on going out to the oil rigs this weekend but I'm not so sure with this chill we just got. Might save my money and time and plan it another weekend. Me and my wife are heading over to Destin with the boat for the Billy Bo Legs festival at the end of May so I may need to try and save a little money for that, I may have to give up a couple of trips. Gas is drive us nuts this summer with trying to go fishing. Anyway take care and talk at ya later.
