Got to Ricks around 7:30 this morning to find no live shrimp but he said the clams were the hot ticket, so who am I to argue. Wouldn't ya know it, he was spot on. I picked up 6 Weakfish up to 14" with one double hookup but no Tourney fish. The sand perch are pecking away right now so bring bait, they were even eating live mud minnows whole! Little BUGGERS!
I picked up 3 of the weakfish on clams, 2 on a 3" Big Hammer in Senorita color and one on a mud minnow.
Other than that and a chilly morning it was a great day on the pier! I plan on heading out there tonight if anyone sees a guy in a Blue Jacket with an embroidered yellow sordfish that says Inside Sportfishing, that will be me.
