:blah: Wow, hit the water by 6:30 and off we go to the find the reds. We locate the red fish in about 8" of water and they looked like they were drunk. They were just crusing with what appeared to be no intrest at all. We threw several baits at them with no luck. Left there and went on a trout hunt with several hits and blowing wind I managed a small Jack. Once again we moved closer to the inlet in search of Pompano. I was able to scare the pants off one small one be never got a hit out of it. Back at the dock at 11:30 with nothing to show for it. We still had a blast and hope the weather gods will have mercie on us for up coming trips..

No worries man. We launched out of the Inlet Ramps (yes they are rebuilt) on Sunday afternoon about 1:30pm. The wind was blowing and white caps were everywhere. At idle speed we got soaked having to parallel the white caps  .
We decided to stay close to the inlet as every time we would venture out it was a soaking. I know I have not been out on any good days yet but dang we have been soaked on that boat. Nothing over the bow just breaking on the hull and splashing over the sides  . Wondering if I should have gone with the Everglades 223 CC :dunno: .
Well first cast was Fish On - of course it was a darn puffer fish so knew what the future held for us. We put a serious hurt on the Catfish lips population but that was it - 1 puffer and a bunch of catfish. The relatives out from New York enjoyed it though but I was very disappointed. Came back in at 5:30 after going through 3 dozen live shrimp and 10 live pin fish. :dunno:
So the boat still needs to be broken in properly and I hate to say it I have not been impressed with the boats ride yet :( .
