If you want to catch a really big bass, now is the time. On W. Lake Toho the males have moved in to compete for spawning areas and the females are ready to come on the beds to spawn. Expect it anyday between now and the full moon. On a recent guide trip, Jan 24th we boated 11 bass and 4 of them were over 6 pounds. They were all caught on wild shiners. The bite has not been real fast because they tend to play with the shiner for a minute or two before they decide to take it. These fish have big bucket mouths when I can stick my whole hand down in their to pull out my hook.:fishing1:
