Hello, Everyone!
Just joined a few minutes ago and am excited that GetBent now has a Florida voice.
As you can see from my log in name I'm a recent (and sometimes displaced) resident of Florida from California. It sure is different out here in so many ways!
I grew up in Long Beach (wish I was there for the FHS), South Gate, & Loma Linda before moving out east. First to Tennessee then the Marshall Islands then to Michigan then to Florida. Been in Florida for a little over three years now but hope to move back to California once I get married.
Through all of the moving from state to state and place to place...my love for fishing has grown. Whether it was fishing for LMB and Stripers in Tennessee or fishing in the Marshall Islands for Trevally's and Tunas or fishing for Salmon in Michigan or fishing for EVERYTHING in Florida...
What has remained the same, however, and will never change no matter where I am is my loyalty to West Coast tackle and techniques. In fact, I could save so much more money on shipping by just having someone around here wrap rods for me, but I will purposefully have my rods wrapped and shipped from California.
That's why I'm WestMeetsEast: a former California resident loyal to West Coast tackle fishing in Florida
