Learning To Fish

Talk about a BIG MOUTH. Some of these fish just can't seem to keep them closed.

OK, seriously. Many of you know since my move to Florida I have spent most of my time taking care of my son. He is doing very well now and is in Day Care. So I have some time now to start fishing and meeting people who fish.

My buddy Gabe (drangler) and I got hooked up with the fine folks at Strike Zone who kindly took us out and gave us a quick class on getting bait and fishing the inlet with bait and lures for Snook and Red Fish.

Lets just say we learned a lot and you should start seeing some catching reports from us.

My first Snook we ended up putting back before I got a picture in the excitement of running the bumpers. Not to mention I lost like 6 fish before I finally landed that first one.

Now I did say we also learned to catch some Red Fish

This trip was more to learn than catch and we did just that but also landed a few nice fish as well.

Hopefully we will be proficient at it come the next Snook Open Season - Then it's Dinner Time.......
