WHEW!!!
We made it! Our first ever kingfish tournament! Each of us have individually fished with other teams, but this was Team Big Bobberz first year out.

Reese Renee Trina

Would you believe that as we mingled before and after the tournament, the number one question people asked was "Who throws the cast net?"

I'll tell you who! Renee can...

"How big is your net?", they would ask next.
Silly mullet, it's not the size of your net...it's what you put in it!!!

We don't have an 80 gallon live well like the big boys! All we need is a couple dozen and we're good!

While we did not weigh any fish, we had a great time, learned alot, (don't buy a plastic planer called a "Fish Seeker", it might break when you have a king beside the boat, ), and we'll do it again next year!

What?! You would never buy a plastic planer!!!! It was pink!! I had to buy it!:o

That would be awesome but would also be a Buddy Boat Trip for sure as she has no radar and not sure about a GPS yet or VHF although maybe. Plus you know how the dark side can be. Also not sure what range she has with it but definitely would be a GREAT Trip . ...

Right On Trina, glad to see Team Big Bobberz represented!

First tournament is about working out the bugs more than anyhting and it sounds like that planer was a nasty bug.

I'm looking foward to checking out the tournie next year once we have settled in in JAX.

Mmmmm, the dark side may be a bit too far for my boat, I'll have to jump ship and ride with someone else! I do have VHF, no radar, and I have GPS. But I only have 52 gallons, my range is good, but I don't know the exact range. I trolled 12 hours on 10 gallons, but I don't about wide open and way out. I've had it 25 miles out in the gulf, came back, and fished again the whole next day without refueling.

Good to see some action here! I haven't been here in a while!

Catch ya' soon!
