Happy Birthday drangler and nice Snook.

That's right drangler had a birthday today and decided he wanted to go fishing. So Capt. Randy figured he would take us out to do just that.

Went out and got some bait in 40' of water and also picked up a few Spanish Mackerel. Why I didn't get pictures I don't know, guess we were to busy having fun with them.

Finally headed back just outside the inlet and waited for tide change.

I got hammered on a small shrimp that just kept peeling line till it finally chewed through my leader.

The birthday boy brought this one in

As usual the area gets busy at this time and boats can get pretty close and occasionally even within distance of the Jetty itself.

As for boats though the one next to us had a nice fight on their hands and ended up pulling this thing up

They figured it was in the 80lb range but being protected it was returned to the water after removing theirs plus four other hooks.

I enjoy fishing with Capt. Randy and Gabe as we always seem to end up with something

You have such varied species of fish in Florida, must be a fun place for anglers.
Enjoy it.

I just found your site yesterday and I am impressed. I live in St. Augustine and have been fishing the intracoastal for about 1 year. I live for this time of the year, and if this year is anything like last, we shall be eating trout and redfish all winter. Nice Snook, peace......tight lines
