raymarine hook up

I have a raymarine c-80 and ray54 vhf radio I want to hook the radio up to get a gps signal I’m not sure if I should hook it though the seatalk connections which have a red(+12) , yellow(+12), and black wire, or cut into the nmea cable. This is my first install and I’m sure it shows :lol:
